House Jump Jam

It was great to be back together at school today. We had a wonderful time telling our snow stories and getting on with our reading, writing and maths. Miss Moss took the children for a great te reo lesson, children completed phonics and handwriting and we even managed to save some time at the end of the day for a snow fight! Because it was so cold and rainy today, we had to do fitness inside. Our house day activities were cancelled on Monday so we combined these things to have a Room 15 house / Jump Jam competition. We wore our house hats that we designed and made last Friday. Do you remember who the winning house was?

Bring warm clothes on Thursday

Hi Everyone. I am assuming that at this stage that school will be open on Thursday. It is likely to be very cold. Please wear your gumboots (named), leave them in the cloakroom and wear slippers in class. If we happen to go outside and make a snow man please bring your gloves, hat, waterproof jacket (you might get a snowball or 2 thrown at you!) and a change of clothes. It's a good idea to wear 2 pairs of socks and to put plastic bags on your feet before you put your gumboots on. I already have the carrot at school that I showed you at assembly on Friday. As it will be cold we will stay inside to eat morning tea and lunch. We have the microwave if you have any food that you would like warmed up for lunch. I'm looking forward to seeing you all and having some great fun. I think we will do some art in the afternoon and Jump Jam inside for fitness. We will also have to read some more of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Please pass this message onto any Room 15 friends that you are talking to. See you in the morning. Love from Mrs Simmons, Miss Moss and Sharon.

School closed on Wednesday

Hi there. School is closed again today. Make sure you practise your poem for the poetry competition and help out at home. Hopefully we will be back together tomorrow for some fantastic room 15 fun!

Snow - yippee!

We went for a walk down to school this morning. School looks great in the snow! What animal do you think the footprints belong to? Today we rolled balls of snow to make a snow man. It was faster than I thought it would be. Have fun and I'll see you when school reopens.
